Palestinians in Gaza held a mass funeral for the remains of 75 people recovered from beneath buildings destroyed by Israeli attacks in Gaza City's Al-Daraj neighbourhood, nearly three years after they were killed.

Many of the victims were women and children, while some remains consisted only of body fragments and personal belongings, making identification extremely difficult.

Gaza's Civil Defence warned that approximately 8,000 bodies remain trapped beneath the rubble, as rescue teams struggle with severe shortages of excavators, heavy machinery and protective equipment needed to recover the dead.
