Gaza’s Health Ministry has reported 158,001 cases of acute malnutrition among children under five between 2024 and August 2026, including 28,716 severe, life-threatening cases.

The ministry warned that ongoing food insecurity, Israeli restrictions on essential supplies and the collapse of healthcare services continue to endanger children’s lives.

It estimates that another 74,200 children will require treatment for acute malnutrition by April 2027.
