Data from the Israel Prison Service, obtained through a freedom-of-information request submitted by the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, indicate that 351 of 635 minors held in Israeli prisons during 2025 were placed in solitary confinement at least once.
The data recorded 666 instances of solitary confinement. Of the children affected, 154 were isolated more than once, while 42 were isolated between four and eight times. The report said the children included 13- and 14-year-olds and that 92% of those subjected to solitary confinement had not been tried.
