After three years of Israeli genocide, destruction and displacement, Palestinian taekwondo athletes have resumed training amid the rubble of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Led by coach Mahmoud Al-Kronz, young athletes are returning to the sport despite limited equipment and the devastation of their training facilities. The war had disrupted their preparations for the Fujairah championship, forcing them to put their sporting ambitions on hold.

Now, training amid the ruins offers the children a rare escape from the trauma of war, as they struggle to reclaim their dreams and keep Palestinian sporting ambitions alive despite the destruction surrounding them.
