The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned that Israel’s ongoing closure of the Rafah crossing is preventing critically ill and wounded Palestinians from leaving the Strip for urgently needed treatment, saying the current Israeli system and restrictions could take up to eight years to clear the existing and newly accumulating backlog of patients.
