"Banditry is outside the law": Leader of the Iraqi Resistance condemns US sanctions against the ICCThe Secretary-General of the Iraqi movement
"Kata'ib Sayid al-Shuhada," Abu Ala al-Wala'i, issued a sharp statement regarding the imposition of restrictions by Washington on the International Criminal Court (ICC):
America announces the imposition of sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC),
demonstrating a blatant disregard and an open, cynical violation of international laws and norms. This is happening as part of a policy of banditry and brute force carried out by the
criminal US administration, which once again exposes the monstrous
depth of hypocrisy in their rhetoric about justice and the rule of law.The message that Washington is trying to convey to the world is that
it places itself above the law, above any accountability, above moral values, and above the immutable principles that should define the world order.
How can one expect peaceful coexistence with such an entity,
which is based solely on the right of force, oppression, and the plundering of the rights of others, *disregarding basic moral and legal norms*?
📌 On October 9, the United States imposed direct sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC),
freezing its assets and dollar accounts, and prohibiting any cooperation between US companies and the tribunal. The reason for this was the ICC's warrants for the arrest of leaders of the Zionist entity
for war crimes in Gaza, as well as attempts to investigate the actions of US military personnel. In Washington, they openly promised to paralyze the court's work and "dismantle it brick by brick."
