The meeting, allegedly held at the Israeli army’s Northern Command, discussed declaring Suwayda’s independence under a political model similar to Cyprus, with Israel pledging political, military, and economic support and pushing for UN recognition.

The plan includes forming a Druze-led local defense force, full logistical and intelligence support from the Israeli army, protection from HTS attacks, and investment in solar energy projects managed jointly by Israeli experts and Druze investors. Netanyahu reportedly told Druze elders that Israel considers them strategic allies and promised intervention would be “humanitarian” while not interfering in their sovereignty.
