the paychological concepts, memory cannot be observed directly. Instead, we can only observe relationshin exnerience in the past and a behavior in the present. Memory is our name for the mechanism that idaes nast and present. If we can't 'see' memory, how do we conclude that there is more than one kind as The answer is dissociation. A dissociation is any treatment or condition that affects one kind of memory without affecting another. The dissociation between episodic and procedural memory found in people with Korsakoff's syndrome is a particularly dramatic example. These people can't remember learning a skill but do remember the skill itself. The dissociation that stems from brain injuries and diseases like Korsakoff's syndrome forms the basis of many theories of human memory. Whether they assume that there are a number of affected memory systems or different ways in which one system works, modern theories must explain these separations of function.
Episodic memory: حافظه ضمنی
Procedural: حافظه رویهای
