I used to configure SS with plugins like Ghost Plugin (SS-Plugin/Ghost) and Cloak. Ghost was similar to Reality, and that plugin wasn’t official—the developer wasn’t very communicative either, and then he disappeared. Cloak, on the other hand, lasted a long time, but they managed to break it too—it just works like Tor against aggressive DPI 😅🤣. New protocols like ShadowTLS (in some clients as a plugin, though it’s actually a separate transport) * ECH TLS Tunnel (the new SIP003 plugin with ECH) were already irrelevant to me because it seemed like they wouldn’t last long, and besides, as a source from the KNB told me in 2023, they’re leaving SS alone on purpose since the data can be easily intercepted on the fly, and conversely, this traffic is already considered signature traffic. I also realized that the protocol wouldn’t last long if the developer were detained by Chinese law enforcement.😅
