Лучшая винная коллекция России — в Воронеже? 🍷

Несколько недель назад мы с друзьями были в баре Top Wine в Воронеже.

После третьей бутылки St. Estèphe Châteaux le Crock 2013 сотрудники предложили нам спуститься в их погреб — посмотреть коллекцию вин. И вот тут я, по меньшей мере, был удивлён.

Полки ломились от величайших вин мира, почти весь топ Бордо был в наличии: Angélus, Châteaux Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Léoville du Marquis de la Cases — последнее, кстати, одно из моих личных фаворитов.

Особенно меня порадовало увидеть Château d’Yquem 1996 — легендарный урожай. Это был последний год перед покупкой винодельни концерном LVMH. Сделка интересная с финансовой точки зрения, но не лучшая для качества вина. Это вино напомнило мне вечер в Марселе, когда мы с лучшим другом открыли именно эту бутылку…

В коллекции нашлись и редкие бургундские белые, сделанные из 100% шардоне — пожалуй, моего любимого сорта. Единственное, чего не хватало — Bâtard-Montrachet, лучшего среди бургундских вин.

Is the best wine cellar in Russia in Voronezh? 🍷

A few weeks ago, I was in Voronezh with my company, visiting Top Wine, a wine bar.

After our third bottle of St. Estèphe Château Le Crock 2013, the staff invited us to visit their private cellar, where they keep their most exclusive and oldest wines — and I was surprised, to say the least.

It was filled with some of the world’s most prestigious wines, featuring an impressive French section. Almost every great Bordeaux was there: Angélus, Château Latour, Mouton Rothschild, and Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases — one of my personal favorites of all time.

I was also surprised, but delighted, to see a Château d’Yquem 1996 — an exceptionally special year. It was the last vintage before the estate was acquired by LVMH, an interesting move from a financial point of view, though perhaps less so in terms of quality. It also brought back memories of the time I shared that same bottle with my best friend in Marseille.

Finally, they also had some exclusive white Burgundies made entirely from Chardonnay — arguably my favorite kind of wine — but there was no Bâtard-Montrachet, the finest of them all.
