🇦🇱 #Albania: Protesters have set fire to the Ministry of Education building in Tirana as student-led demonstrations against Prime Minister Edi Rama continue to escalate.

University and high school students have joined the “Flamingo Revolution”, demanding Rama’s resignation amid growing anger over the government. Protesters have chanted slogans including “Down with the dictatorship” and “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison.”

The protests have been ongoing since May 31st against the Kushner project, which involves building luxury resorts on Albania’s Sazan Island and near the protected Narta Lagoon, in a development linked to Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and daughter, Ivanka Trump. This is where the name “Flamingo Revolution” comes from.
