An Appeal To Pragmatism 287(g) was originally created in 1996, yet the program hardly grew until Trump won
The best part of 287(g) is the Task Force Model, which Obama suspended in 2012. Obama suspended it to prevent arrests of illegal aliens within our communities. It wasn't until 2025, under Trump, that the Task Force Model was revived.

TFM allows officers to actively arrest illegal aliens, and thanks to Trump, we have gone from 0 Task Force agencies to 1882 in less than 2 years.
