The Trump admin is planning a surge in worksite operations with ICE & HSI, CNN says.

Criminal prosecution for illegal employment is rare, limited by law and requires lengthy investigation. Any ramp up in enforcement activity would represent a marked shift in the immigrant economy.

Trump's EEOC recently added visa & foreign worker hiring as a priority to probe, and Treasury is working  to expand bank info sharing & surveillance to identify illegal alien activity. Taken together this could open up more employers as viable investigation targets.
