Police agreements with ICE, to deputize local law enforcement and facilitate migrant arrests and removals, have grown from 130 participating agencies to 1,400 participating in a little over a year. DHS detention capacity has already doubled—the agency is acquiring dozens of offices and warehouses to build that up further.
