California resident with a large diesel truck went in to get gas, he was excited because he was expecting to finally get a cheaper price thanks to Donald Trump’s Executive Order removing the tax
He was told by the gas station Gavin Newsom is BLOCKING the relief and it’s still full price
He’s right. Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14435, “Emergency Tax Relief on Diesel Fuel”
- Penalty waiver for dyed diesel on highways
- Deferral of the federal excise tax
- Treasury is directed to explore avenues to eliminate the obligation to pay the deferred taxes later
Gavin Newsom responded by not lifting the ban on use of red diesel on public roads and has not provided the matching state tax relief
By the way ‘Red diesel’ is chemically the same as regular highway diesel; the red dye is just a marker so authorities can tell the highway taxes haven’t been paid
So Gavin Newsom is blocking it ONLY to hurt Americans before midterms and not give any financial relief
Newsom is a criminal.
