A Biden-appointed federal judge ruled that Congress has no authority to bar noncitizens from voting in federal elections, tossing out charges against a woman originally from Jamaica who voted in the 2020 presidential election despite not being a U.S. citizen.

U.S. District Judge David Leibowitz dismissed the case against Chelsea Cox, declaring the 1996 federal law criminalizing noncitizen voting unconstitutional. His reasoning: the Constitution gives states — not Congress — the power to set voter qualifications.

If Democrats were in control of Congress and Presidency, a partisan, ridiculous judge appointed by a Republican would have been impeached long ago. But do-nothing Republicans prefer whining a lot, doing nothing and taking lots of vacations.
