Kentucky State Police identified the trooper killed while patrolling Interstate 65 in Warren County as Trooper Hayden Phillips.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips is a former Glasgow police officer. He has been a state trooper for nearly four years.

Phillips was assigned to Post 3 in Bowling Green and was a graduate of Cadet Class 103, Kentucky State Police said.

“Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while patrolling I-65 in Warren County,” Kentucky State Police Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. said in a statement.
