📌 The management of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP held a meeting with representatives of the Akimat of the Yenbekshi district and residents of the residential areas adjacent to the Refinery (Karatobe, Karabastau, Zhuldyz, Zhalyn, Badam, and Shymtau). The main topics of the discussion were the environmental situation and residents’ complaints about periodic odors.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of open and constructive dialogue. During the meeting, representatives of the local community expressed their gratitude to the refinery management for its willingness to engage in direct communication and work together to address the issues of concern to residents.

The key outcome of the discussions was the decision to establish a joint public working group comprising representatives of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP, local executive authorities, and representatives of the residential areas. The group will include refinery specialists, Akimat officials, and local residents.

The newly established public working group will be responsible for systematically recording odor levels, monitoring air quality in residential areas, and ensuring strict compliance with permissible pollutant concentration limits.
