🎯 This fully funded PhD project focuses on developing an end-to-end incoherent holographic imaging system for capturing high-quality holograms under natural light conditions. The research involves optical system design, camera optics and hardware prototyping, computational imaging, incoherent light propagation modelling, computer-generated hologram algorithms, inverse problem solving, denoising and high-resolution reconstruction, motion compensation, differentiable optical propagation models, and efficient parallelizable software implementations. The project is conducted within VUB’s B-PHOT and ETRO research groups in collaboration with NICT in Japan.
