This doctoral studentship focuses on the formalisation of the local Langlands correspondence for GL₂(F) in Lean, a modern interactive theorem prover. The local Langlands correspondence is a central component of the Langlands program, which unifies vast areas of mathematics by connecting harmonic analysis, number theory, and representation theory. The project aims to construct a computer-verified library encapsulating the sophisticated mathematical objects underlying this correspondence, including the representation theory of GL₂(F) and the structure of two-dimensional Galois representations of the Weil group of a non-Archimedean local field F.
