The central focus of this postdoctoral position is the development and application of a human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-based preclinical model for DDX3X syndrome. DDX3X syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder resulting from mutations in the DDX3X gene, which encodes an RNA helicase involved in innate immune signaling. This syndrome presents a unique challenge due to its rarity and the complex mutational landscape, making clinical insights difficult to obtain.
