Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones has called on the UK government to stop migrant boat landings along the coast at Portsmouth and Gosport.
She says the cost of policing the protests has already topped £800,000 and is calling on the Home Office to reimburse the money and take action to prevent it happening again.
What do you think Mahmood’s response will be? We’re guessing something along the lines of: “Measures are being taken, and migration is down compared with last year.” And that’ll be about it. Will the Home Office actually do anything about these requests? We don't think so.
