βRomans 7:4 says we are βdead to the lawββnot improved by it, not guided by it, but DEAD to it. You donβt patch up a corpse; you bury it. The Law is not a rulebook for Christians but a mirror to show us our need for Christ." - John R. Rice, The Liberty of the Christian
Such is the clear, oft-repeated message in the New Testament and the consistent Baptist understanding for the past 2,000 years. Judaizers are rebuked so strongly in scripture because it is a persistent heresy through the ages.

1 John 3:4: "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
Which law is being referred to here? There are several laws in the Bible such the law of liberty, the law of Moses, the law of sin and so on.
To think 1 John 3:4 refers specifically and only to the Mosaic Law shows profound ignorance.
The βlawβ mentioned here refers to all of Godβs instructions.
Adam & Eve were under the law of God which had one rule at the time, do not eat the fruit. When they disobeyed, that was sin. The tree of life is no longer available so that law doesnβt apply to us today.
The Old Testament Israelites were given the Mosaic Law. Disobedience to that was sin for them. Jesus fulfilled that Law which was given to point to Him, the Levitical system was abolished, and believers today arenβt under that law. You donβt need to wear blue fringes (Num. 15:38) on your clothing and you donβt need to worry about what material your clothes are made from, and so forth. Youβll notice that frauds who pretend to follow the Mosaic Law prove their hypocrisy as they donβt follow these instructions.
Additionally, there are new rules or laws given in the New Testament, not found in the Old, and it is sin to be disobedient to them. So 1 John 3:4 cannot possibly refer to just the Old Testament.
Today, believers are βunder law to Christβ and we are to be like Him by being obedient to the instructions found in the New Testament.
Romans 14:23: "And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin."

Why We Don't Go Back to Moses
"If we truly love God, shouldn't we keep the Law of Mosesβsabbath, feasts, dietary laws?"
The New Testament plainly defines the Law now that Christ has come.
Read the Scriptures on the matter:
β’ "The ministration of death" (2 Corinthians 3:7, 9): Speaking of the Ten Commandments, Paul says it could only condemn, never save. Its glory was "done away" (v. 11). It is "the letter" that "killeth" (v. 6)βdemanding obedience without giving the power to obey.
β’ "Our schoolmaster" (Galatians 3:24-25): "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ... after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster." It was "added because of transgressions, till the seed should come" (Galatians 3:19). It was a temporary guardian, not our permanent rule.
β’ An unbearable yoke (Acts 15:10): Peter asked the council, "why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?"
β’ Abolished & nailed to the cross (Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:14): Christ "abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments." He was "blotting out the handwriting of ordinances... nailing it to his cross." These were merely "a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ" (Colossians 2:17).
β’ Disannulled (Hebrews 7:18-19, 8:13): "there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did." The first covenant is "old" and "ready to vanish away."
β’ Bondage (Galatians 4:9-11, 4:30-31, 5:1): Sliding back into observing "days, and months, and times" is turning to "weak and beggarly elements." We are children of the freewoman, not the bondwoman. "Cast out the bondwoman... Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free."
You cannot be an heir of Hagar and Sarah at the same time. You cannot mix Law and grace. You must choose.
Believers are under grace (Romans 6:14, 10:4): "For ye are not under the law, but under grace." "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
This is not a license to sin (Romans 6:15): "shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid." We are "under the law to Christ" (1 Corinthians 9:21) and are called to "fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2) by love.
Under Moses, men lacked the power to obey. But "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2). We do not stand under Moses; we stand in Christ.
Do not trade the substance for the shadow. "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free" (Galatians 5:1).
Itβs one of the most clearly taught doctrines of the bible. If you miss this, you are a deceived fool or a deceiver.

π₯ Logic proves God.
The laws of logic are universal, eternal, immaterial rules you use every second. They can't be physical because they govern physics itself by being the necessary preconditions for understanding physics.
Why do they exist?
- Non-contradiction? God cannot deny Himself (2 Tim. 2:13).
- Excluded middle? Christ demands "Yea or nay"βtruth has no middle ground (Matt. 5:37).
- Identity? God declares "I AM THAT I AM"βtruth is self-grounded (Ex. 3:14).
These laws reflect God's mind, not human convention. You can use them only because you're made in His image. The materialist borrows this biblical framework while denying the God who grounds itβlike stealing the tools to argue against the Craftsman. It's intellectual suicide.
The bottom line: You can't know anything without presupposing the God who reveals Himself. "The fear of the LORD is the BEGINNING of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Prov. 1:7).
Logic itself is proof that you're already relying on Him.
