🇬🇪 Georgia: Economy Grows 8% — Oil Refining Emerges as a New Growth Engine
Georgia’s real GDP grew 8% YoY in July, bringing growth for January–July to 7.9%. One of the key drivers was petroleum production and exports: over the first seven months of the year, Georgia exported 778K tonnes of petroleum products worth $543M — roughly 40x more than a year earlier. IT, finance, mining, and logistics also expanded, while construction was the only major sector to decline.
