OSINT mindset takes 1st place at Trace Labs Search Party! 🥇

Less than two months after the last event, Trace Labs held another Global OSINT Search Party - an international CTF dedicated to finding missing persons. There was no way we would sit this one out. And this time, we did not want to settle for second place.

Our team delivered the best result possible:

— 4,380 points

OSINT mindset team came in 2nd place at Trace Labs Search Party! 🥈

This past weekend, the Trace Labs Global OSINT Search Party took place — an international CTF focused on finding missing persons. This time, 130+ teams from around the world competed for the top spots 🌍

Our team, consisting of @Soxoj, adk, @vali, and Pr1tchard, delivered an excellent result:
— 2nd place among 130+ teams 🥈
— 28 accepted submissions
— 1,050 points

We will continue participating in events like these and helping people 🧡

OFFZONE 2025, a large conference on cybersecurity, was held on August 22-23 in Moscow.
For the third time, OSINT mindset team has hosted a stand in Community.Zone, where every visitor could try and solve our tasks on OSINT and GEOINT (and a special task where you had to extract classified information from AI) ◻️

Some figures we'd like to share:

Automated search for sites by favicon 🔍

When mapping an attack surface or searching for vulnerable web interfaces, favicon matching often plays a critical role. Some IoT search engines, such as Shodan or Netlas, already offer this functionality.

However, today we want to introduce a tool that simplifies this process, developed by a member of the Netlas community. This utility supports searching for favicons across several search engines, including Shodan, Netlas, ZoomEye, and more.

OSINT mindset at CTF by Hacktoria 🔥

It's no secret that one of the most fun and rewarding things to do in Cybersecurity is to participate in CTFs. And OSINT is becoming no exception! You don't often come across purely OSINT tasks, and that makes them even more valuable and welcome.

Actually, what is the point of this? At the beginning of December OSINT mindset team took part in the international team CTF Lost in Time by Hacktoria and took the second place! We were separated from the first place, which was taken by the French team, by only 24 minutes, which means that we have a lot to strive for! ✅
