“According to a recent Gallup poll, less than 1% of Americans born before 1946, that’s Joe Biden’s generation, identify that way, 2.6% of Boomers do, 4.2% of Gen X, 10.5% of Millennials and 20.8% of Gen Z, which means if we follow this trajectory, we will all be gay in 2054,” he said to applause."

Maher is an atheist. If this sudden transformation in the sexual mores of our youth can trouble him, shouldn’t we Christians be even more alarmed?

The standard societal answer is that kids are born homosexual, bisexual, and/or trans. It is an innate characteristic that is unaffected by nurture or environment. According to this logic, the stunning increase in these numbers is only because greater societal acceptance has empowered people to “be who they really are”. In other words, 20.8% or more of every generation was always LGBTQ+, they just couldn’t express themselves as such.

This is, of course, complete garbage.

So it should come as no surprise that when the hospital lifted its mask mandate, patients and visiting family were thrilled. Masks are optional! No one will be asked about their “vaccine status”! Of course, no patient is ever happy to be getting admitted to a hospital, but you can see the relief on the patients’ faces knowing that they will at least breathe freely while seeing their nurses’ smiling faces.

Only, not so fast. What they don’t tell the patients is that only nurses and staff who have taken the jabs are allowed to go mask free. Almost a 1/3 of us got religious or other exemptions from the jabs. We must continue to wear masks – possibly for the rest of our careers. Patients aren’t told that when they check in. And we are not allowed to tell them ourselves on pain of being fired. https://orthodoxreflections.com/the-covid-vax-still-haunts-hospital-workers-in-florida/
Orthodox Reflections The COVID Vax Still Haunts Hospital Workers in Florida - Orthodox Reflections Patients and family don't realize that hospital nurses and staff wearing masks are being forced to because they are unjabbed. Wear the mask, or leave medicine. For hospital staff, the vax mandates are still very much with us.

Much focus has been placed on this scandalous baptism because the “parents” are homosexual. As bad as that is, the implicit endorsement of surrogacy by Archbishop Elpidophoros is actually a much bigger problem.

Surrogacy is the immoral conception of a child, through unnatural means, with the intent that the child will be denied the love of his or her own biological mother by design. Nothing could be crueler or more inhumane. It is the implicit denial of the biological reality that both a mother and a father are needed to create new life. It makes a mockery of the differences between the sexes, treating two “dads” in a home as being just as good as a normal family. Surrogacy is also an integral component of the Transhumanist movement – controlled pro-creation being essential for the future “directed” evolution of mankind. https://orthodoxreflections.com/archbishop-elpidophoros-lies-about-baptism-while-endorsing-surrogacy-and-same-sex-marriage/
Orthodox Reflections Archbishop Elpidophoros Lies About Baptism While Endorsing Surrogacy and Same-Sex Marriage - Orthodox Reflections Archbishop Elpidophoros lied about Orthodox Baptism to justify baptizing children of a same-sex couple born of immoral surrogacy.

Clearly, those without it will be unable to buy or sell any kind of goods. Either it is a currency, or a governing mechanism for the use of a currency. In other words, it is about participation in the world’s system at that point in time. It’s about money and its use. The placement of the mark—the forehead and the right hand—denotes being owned by the world system.

Some of our Lord’s most severe teachings were regarding dependence upon money. For the rich young ruler, he had everything in place—he was apostolic material. What our Lord offered him was a place as one of His disciples who were to become the Apostles in the 12 or the 70. But for him, it costs too much, he could not afford it, it was just too expensive. He counted the cost, and could not pay it even though he had it.

If you read Elpidophoros’ answer in light of the reality of abortion politics, what he is really saying is the following, “I am personally anti-abortion, but pro-choice as we must respect the right of women to make their own reproductive decisions. So abortion should be legal, but we should pursue policies to give women options other than killing their babies, especially since men seem to run off and refuse to support their offspring. I could condemn that, but I won’t. Fathers supporting their families would be inconvenient to my position, so we will pretend they don’t and only women can have a say in childbirth and child rearing. I will now throw out some Orthodox Theology about free will to try and cover up the fact that my position on abortion is indistinguishable from most pro-abortion politicians who claim some religious influence – personally opposed but leaving the decision to kill a baby up to the mother and Planned Parenthood.” https://orthodoxreflections.com/archbishop-elpidophoros-of-the-greek-archdiocese-is-pro-choice-on-abortion/

A clique of highly-organized scholars has launched a multi-pronged attack on the moral teaching and dogma of the Orthodox Church.

This group is well-funded and well-trained, receiving support from powerful NGOs, academia, and even Western governments (who have national interests in severing Orthodoxy from Russia).
This is a sophisticated & coordinated assault. Firstly, they’ve managed to install their lackeys inside the Church to sabotage us from within. Secondly, they’ve simultaneously created a parallel Anti-Church through a diverse network of independent, pseudo-Orthodox organizations.

This parallel Anti-Church acts as an incubator for heretical ideas that are injected into the Church via the compromising lackeys. The lackeys and the Anti-Church link together and work in unison to slowly poison American Orthodoxy. https://orthodoxreflections.com/the-rogues-gallery-of-academics-bishops-and-big-money-foundations-working-to-subvert-the-orthodox-christian-faith/

My first real exposure was joining a Christian club in high school. As a Gen Xer, I am old enough to remember when those existed. Part of the club’s activities was a weekly “Bible Study”. Kids would share a Bible verse, and then explain what that verse meant to them personally. As the year wore on, often the verses were targeted at me and the one Catholic kid who belonged. All the typical anti-Orthodox / Catholic “proof texts” made their appearance sooner or later – justification by faith, call no man “father”, don’t “worship” graven images…. https://orthodoxreflections.com/understanding-and-defending-the-orthodox-faith/

The great journeys of evangelism recorded in the Book of Acts were undertaken by members of the Orthodox Church. The martyrs, those holy men and women whose zeal inspired others to seek God, were Orthodox Christians. The Roman Empire was converted by the Orthodox Church. The barbarians of Western Europe were converted largely by Orthodox Christian monks, often falsely associated as belonging to the “Roman Catholic” Church which came much later in history. When Western Europe was being evangelized, the Roman Pope was a bastion of Orthodoxy. Towards the end of a united Christendom, even the Slavs in the East of Europe were converted from Constantinople.

Did Metropolitan Joseph’s criticism of Archbishop Elpidophoros put him cross-wise of the goal of furthering the power of Constantinople to promote the “American agenda”? Is that what got him taken down? Well it certainly did change the subject. Prior to this story breaking, even many rich Greeks, who frequently care little for the authentic Orthodox Faith, were publicly complaining that Archbishop Elpidophoros is too much of an embarrassment to continue in office.

Now, the Metropolitan Joseph story has quieted all that down.

So back to the previously mentioned corruption issue within our Orthodox Church. How does the true Church of Jesus Christ, a veritable factory for manufacturing saints, the Church of the Martyrs, a Church living and breathing the Gospel – end up with so many talentless and corrupt leaders? Because it benefits people with power who want to use the Church for their own ends while making sure the True Gospel is never an inconvenience to their plans. https://orthodoxreflections.com/the-resignation-of-metropolitan-joseph-of-the-antiochian-archdiocese/

Neoliberals demand all their favored governments maintain a veneer of democratic legitimacy through regularly held elections and pro-democracy rhetoric. Why? Because Neoliberals understand that you can economically rape a populace to death if you can only convince them that they asked for it. “Well, gee this sucks! But we voted for concentrating all our wealth in the hands of a small group of hyperconnected plutocrats, so better suck it up! Besides, we can just vote the bums out, right? Time to go to my third job so I can earn enough to buy groceries.”

Common people talk too much. In doing so, they often oppose the “narrative”, which is bad for corporate profits and for political power. Such resistance by the Plebeians simply will not do. For the Global Elite, life would be much better if we would all just shut up and get in line. The blatant use of coercion and censorship to make us do just that is the direction we are heading. Let us consider where we are and that Freedom of Speech is under an assault which it might not survive. https://orthodoxreflections.com/are-we-losing-our-freedom-of-speech/

The basis of everything in the Orthodox Church is Holy Tradition – as Saint Vincent of Lerins has stated, “in the Catholic Church (i.e. the Universal Church – the Orthodox Church) itself, all possible care must be taken, that we hold that faith which has been believed everywhere, always, by all”. Holy Tradition includes the combined inheritance of the Holy Scriptures, the Church Fathers, the Holy Services, and the hymnody of the Church, across the centuries and from every place, taken together.

To make the mistake that the Orthodox Church is a battle over Biblical quotes, or improved enlightenment over time is to reduced Christ’s Church to simply another flavour of Protestantism with more accurate creeds and councils. Holy Tradition – and the whole package it contains – makes up the Orthodox Faith.

The curse of nationalism has been lose-lose for all who have taken that particular acid bath. The Kiev government has lost by persecuting its own people and playing with several different nationalist and schismatic ‘Glory to the Ukraine churches’ and persecuting its only canonical Glory to God Church. Its false ‘churches’ have not only not created unity, but they have destroyed all remaining unity by persecuting and striving to seize the properties of the canonical Church (more parallels with the situation in the Diaspora). The Church of Constantinople has lost by playing with Greek and then Ukrainian nationalism. Western Europe has lost by playing with European nationalism (its ‘freedom and democracy’ myths) and enforcing Russophobic sanctions to cut off its nose to spite its face. ROCOR has lost by playing with American nationalism, exactly as the much persecuted St John of Shanghai prophesied. And the once multinational Russian Church has lost most of all by betraying its multinational vocation, that very vocation set by Tsar Nicholas II, with Russian nationalism, thus wrecking its multinational reputation. It will not recover from that for at least a generation. https://orthodoxreflections.com/six-months-on-the-completely-avoidable-tragedy-of-the-ukraine-and-the-curse-of-nationalism/
Orthodox Reflections Six Months On: The Completely Avoidable Tragedy of the Ukraine and the Curse of Nationalism - Orthodox Reflections Ukraine will lose the war and, most assuredly, territory. The Russian Church will lose, so will the European people. What will be the future?
