Hefu Chai and Jerry Xiang, engineers at Robinhood, used their access to confidential listing decisions to buy perpetual futures on Hyperliquid before Robinhood publicly announced new crypto listings. Every time a token was about to be listed, they'd already be positioned. Each made $50K+ before getting caught.

Charged today with commodities fraud and wire fraud. Up to 30 years combined. Robinhood cooperated with the FBI investigation.

Joshua Cammidge, 31, was arrested in Swindon for allegedly taking orders from the GRU Volunteer Corps to plan sabotage on UK soil. Counterterrorism police found him through his contact with Russian military intelligence.

Turns out he's also available 24/7 from £30 for 15 minutes. Faces up to 14 years in prison, which is significantly less profitable.

In February, someone called Odido's helpdesk, pretended to be an IT employee, talked a staff member into logging into a fake site, and handed ShinyHunters access to 6.2 million customer records. Odido refused to pay the €1M ransom. All data went on the dark web.

Tonight at 21:00, Dutch police are broadcasting the caller's voice on national TV. "Everything points to it being a Dutchman." His only options: turn himself in, or watch his voice go viral.

🛡 EXPLOIT: “White hats” drain $320M in BTC from Liquid Network

Yesterday, ~4,000 BTC ($320M) was drained from the Liquid Network federation wallet, dropping the balance from 4,200 BTC to just 207. The attackers left an OP_RETURN message on-chain: “we are whitehats. contact us on chain.” They’ve since communicated with Blockstream via PGP-encrypted messages and have offered to return most of the funds once the vulnerability is patched. Liquid has paused its bridge nodes.

⚠️ JUST IN: Family of 5 murdered in Mexico over a $1.5M Bitcoin wallet

On September 1, a Mexican rock musician, his 4-month-pregnant wife and their family were found tied up and shot in their apartment near Mexico City. The killers were two acquaintances who knew about the family's Bitcoin hardware wallet and broke in to steal it. One was paid $120K to participate.

⚠️ JUST IN: Ledger sued for $500M

Douglas Kim lost $1.94M after scammers used his data from Ledger’s 2023 breach to impersonate Ledger support and trick him into entering his seed phrase on a fake site. He’s now suing for the entire class: up to 210,000 customers whose data was exposed across Ledger’s multiple breaches (2020, 2023, 2026).

The lawsuit claims Ledger downplayed every breach, failed to notify customers in time, and never actually fixed their security. Ledger built its brand on keeping crypto safe.

⚠️ JUST IN: Two TeamPCP hackers arrested in Perth

Ruben Ian Thomson, 21, and Louis Michael Gaebler, 23, were arrested in Perth yesterday in a joint AFP/FBI operation. TeamPCP compromised 1,000+ organizations worldwide by injecting malicious code into open-source security tools like Trivy, Checkmarx KICS, and LiteLLM, stealing 500,000+ corporate credentials from CI/CD pipelines and 300GB of data.

Both denied bail. 14 combined charges including hacking, identity crime, and crypto money laundering. Up to 82 years combined if convicted. Krebs on Security identified Thomson as "Ellis," the group's leader until March 2026. More arrests expected.
