Senators called on Trump to cancel the deal with Russia on diesel supplies

▶️Seven senators—four Republicans and three Democrats—signed the joint statement.

In their view, the deal violates U.S. legislation prohibiting the import of Russian energy resources until the Ukrainian conflict ends.

They also accused the Trump administration of failing to consult Congress and explain the decision, as required by law.

🔜 Trump announced the agreement with Russia on Friday, after which his administration temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian fuel.
