The launch of operations at the Udokan Mining and Processing Complex, a hydrometallurgical plant, was announced. “Udokan” is Russia’s first full-cycle production complex built from the ground up: all stages, from copper ore extraction to the production of cathode copper, a metal that plays an important role in the development of modern technologies and industry, are carried out here.
Construction of the Second Severomuisky Tunnel on the Baikal-Amur Mainline has begun. A total of 340.7 billion rubles will be invested in the project. The commissioning of the Nizhneangarsky, Second Kodarsky, and Second Kuznetsovsky tunnels, as well as a new railway bridge over the Amur River, will make it possible to increase the transport capacity of the Eastern Railway Polygon to 270 million tonnes per year by 2032.
Investment in the creation of a new container terminal at the Pervomaisky Vladivostok Seaport amounted to approximately 8.6 billion rubles. As a result of the comprehensive modernization of the facilities, new, modern infrastructure for handling large containerized cargo was created, with a total area of 50,700 square meters.
A pharmaceutical production facility has been established in Primorsky Krai. It is planned to manufacture 24 products based on amino acid solutions and their fat emulsions for the supportive treatment of critically ill patients, as well as solutions for peritoneal dialysis and injections, and antibiotics. The project’s investment volume amounted to 1.4 billion rubles.
A ceremony marking the start of construction of a digital factory for the production of transfer cases for trucks was held in Saratov Oblast. The plant plans to manufacture a new generation of transfer cases weighing 320 kg and with an increased service life of 800,000 km. The company’s planned capacity will be up to 30,000 transfer cases per year. Total investment is estimated at 24.2 billion rubles.
RusHydro commissioned two hybrid power complexes in Yakutia with a combined capacity of 12.9 MW. The expected annual saving of diesel fuel resulting from the operation of the facilities will exceed 1,500 tonnes. The hybrid power complexes are being created on the basis of modular units and combine diesel generators, photovoltaic modules, and energy storage systems into a single complex.
The Irkutsk Aircraft Plant of the Yakovlev company transferred the second mass-produced MS-21-310 passenger aircraft from the final assembly shop to the company’s flight-test department. The MS-21-310 is a version of the Russian medium-haul aircraft equipped with domestically produced PD-14 turbofan engines. The MS-21-310 is designed to carry up to 211 passengers. Its maximum range is 3,830 km.
Construction of a test facility for hydrogen production began at the Kola Nuclear Power Plant. The complex is intended for testing technologies for large-scale hydrogen production through water electrolysis, as well as for hydrogen storage and transportation. The project’s main advantage is the use of clean nuclear energy without hydrocarbon emissions. The test facility’s design capacity is 200 Nm³ per hour.
Eridan JSC commissioned a new production complex in Sverdlovsk Oblast for manufacturing equipment for fire protection systems. As a result of the modernization, the company increased its capacity for producing fire protection systems 2.4-fold, to 24 sets per year. The new complex has an area of 2,200 square meters.
