"This will become economic violence if needed": The United States will impose sanctions on one of the banks to pressure Iran, the U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said.

The head of the U.S. Treasury did not reveal details about the bank against which Washington is preparing to introduce restrictions. He added that the United States intends to impose new secondary sanctions every week to increase economic pressure on Iran.
