— 🇸🇩: The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) warns that genocide, mass displacement, and severe drought are accelerating famine risk across Sudan.

- 8.58 million people displaced nationwide.
- 50% of croplands showing poor vegetation growth, rising to 64% in North Darfur.
- Acute malnutrition rates of 38% and 30.8% recorded in two South Darfur displacement camps, exceeding the 30% famine-related malnutrition threshold.
- 300,000+ displaced across Greater Kordofan since late 2025.
- Sudan's 2026 humanitarian response plan remains 57% underfunded.
- Fighting, failed harvests, cholera outbreaks, and attacks on humanitarian convoys are further restricting access to food and lifesaving assistance.

The IPC warns that essential civilian survival systems are collapsing and calls for immediate humanitarian access and emergency funding.

— 🇸🇩🇹🇩: A young Sudanese refugee was killed in Adré refugee camp, eastern Chad, amid growing concerns over armed robberies, intimidation, and attacks against refugees.

Chadian police are investigating the killing, while refugee advocacy group PAGES has called for urgent security intervention.

Separately, a large fire swept through the camp, destroying numerous temporary shelters and leaving Sudanese families exposed without adequate accommodation. Strong winds and a lack of firefighting equipment reportedly worsened the blaze.

Meanwhile, in South Darfur, gunmen attacked traders travelling to a market east of Nyala, killing Saddam Abkar Khamis and wounding seven others.

Egypt's military announced the third phase of an operation targeting alleged illegal gold mining networks near Sudan's border, following deadly airstrikes on artisanal mining sites on October 10.

Survivors previously reported at least 200 miners killed, hundreds wounded, and more than 15,000 displaced, accusing Egyptian aircraft of carrying out the strikes.

Egyptian military spokesperson Col. Ahmed Etman said the campaign targeted criminal networks operating within Egyptian territory, following the distribution of warning leaflets.

Sudan's military chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has ordered a judicial and military investigation into the attack.

⚠️ Egypt confirmed border security operations but did not explicitly acknowledge responsibility for the reported airstrikes. The casualty figures remain independently unverified.

At least 200 gold miners were reportedly killed and hundreds seriously wounded in airstrikes targeting artisanal mining camps in Shamal al-Wadi, Red Sea state, near Sudan's border with Egypt.

Survivors told Sudan Tribune that warplanes launched more than five missiles around 6 a.m. on October 10, destroying shelters and collapsing mining shafts with workers trapped underground.

More than 15,000 miners were reportedly displaced, fleeing into surrounding mountains and caves.

Survivors accused the Egyptian military of carrying out the strikes, citing previous border operations and territorial disputes over mineral-rich mining sites.

At least five airstrikes reportedly hit artisanal gold mining camps at Al-Uqaydat mine, near Al-Ansari market in Sudan’s River Nile state, close to the Egyptian border.

Local miners reported dozens killed or wounded, with at least 20 injured workers brought for emergency treatment. Hundreds reportedly fled into surrounding mountains without water or supplies.

The strikes follow heightened border tensions over gold prospecting. In June, Egypt's military acknowledged operations against illegal mining, smuggling, and border crossings, arresting more than 200 people.

⚠️ The aircraft responsible for the latest strikes have not been identified. Sudan Tribune could not independently verify the casualty figures, and neither Sudanese nor Egyptian military officials had responded to requests for comment.

— 🇸🇩: Sudanese rights organization Youth for Darfur (Mashad) reports documenting 3,708 cases of rape and sexual violence against men and boys since the genocide began in April 2023, including more than 900 children under 18.

The organization attributes 73% of documented incidents to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and 27% to other armed groups and forces.

Mashad collected direct testimonies from over 80 male survivors, including former detainees who reported sexual assault in detention facilities.

The group also raised unverified allegations of forced organ removal at detention facilities in El Fasher and Nyala, calling for an independent international investigation.

⚠️ Sudan Tribune could not independently verify the figures or allegations. Mashad warns that restricted access, communications blackouts, and ongoing fighting mean the documented cases may represent only a fraction of the actual violence.

— 🇸🇩: Approximately six people are martyring daily from worsening humanitarian and health conditions in SLM-AW-controlled areas of Darfur, according to a local official.

The movement's civil administration declared famine in Jebel Marra, Tawila, Ain Siro, and displacement camps in September.

Four civilians, including a child, were reportedly shot dead by RSF-affiliated fighters in Tayba Oulad Balouh village, west of El Mazroub, North Kordofan.

According to the Kordofan Observatory, armed men travelling in a Land Cruiser entered the home of Abd El Baqi Suleiman Hassan late Tuesday night, demanding his vehicle keys and access to his room, apparently intending to seize money and property.

When Hassan refused, the fighters allegedly opened fire, martyring him. Ahmed El Jaili Balouh, who arrived after hearing the gunshots, was also martyred.

El Amin Habib Nasir and a child were reportedly martyred before the armed group withdrew.

The killings occurred amid heightened tensions following the Sudanese army's announcement that it had recaptured El Mazroub after an RSF withdrawal.

— 🇸🇩: Worsening drought, widespread crop failure, and severe shortages of water and livestock feed are threatening thousands of families in Ain Siro, Kutum locality, North Darfur.

According to Adam Rojal, spokesperson for the General Coordination for Refugees and Displaced Persons in Darfur, erratic rainfall has caused a near-total harvest collapse, depriving farming families of food and income.

Water shortages and dwindling fodder supplies have killed livestock, while the arrival of displaced families has placed additional pressure on already strained wells.

⚠️ Regular humanitarian aid deliveries remain absent, raising fears of a worsening crisis affecting both residents and displaced communities.
