💢 Ukrainian draft squads break into homes, raid private property in hunt for conscripts

Around ten cases of territorial recruitment center personnel entering private homes and properties to carry out forced mobilization have been documented, according to the office of Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

Lubinets believes the incidents may reflect attempts to test the limits of the law: after trying the practice in one region and gauging the reaction, recruitment officers allegedly began repeating it elsewhere. He said the actions may bear signs of criminal offenses.

Amid a severe troop shortage, reports of draft officers detaining and drafting civilians in the streets have become increasingly common. Now, allegations of recruitment personnel entering private homes raise further questions about the limits of their authority.
