💢 A crude oil supertanker exploded after striking a naval mine while attempting to exit the Strait of Hormuz through an unauthorized route, Iran's IRGC Navy announced.

The vessel had reportedly disabled its navigation and positioning systems and is now engulfed in flames visible from shore. The IRGC warned that tankers disregarding the strait's regulations risk the same fate.
