💢 Trump ordered the Pentagon to prepare strikes on Yemen’s Houthis after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally appealed for US intervention, then reversed course again on Sunday, The NYT reports.

The operation was reportedly close to launch: targets had been approved and bombs were being loaded onto US warplanes. Most of Trump’s inner circle opposed or questioned opening another front while US forces are already stretched by the war with Iran.
