Canada's crypto remittances to Asia surge 141% to $2.36 billion

Transfers from Canada to Asian countries hit $2.36 billion, a 141% year-over-year increase. The Philippines corridor alone processed $61 million in crypto remittances, up 28% from the prior period.

The data comes from Chainalysis analysis tracking stablecoin and major cryptocurrency flows. Philippines represents one of three primary Asian corridors receiving Canadian crypto transfers, signaling growing adoption of digital assets for cross-border money movement outside traditional banking channels.
