OpenAI explores acquisition of Web3 security auditor Trail of Bits

Trail of Bits, founded in 2012, conducts security reviews for major crypto platforms. The firm has audited smart contracts, bridges, and DeFi protocols for Uniswap and Aave among others.

OpenAI is in early talks to acquire the security specialist, per The Information. The move could expand OpenAI's cybersecurity operations into blockchain systems review.
