Head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Daamoush:

– We gather together today to renew our pledge to the Master of the Martyrs of the Ummah.

– We renew our pledge to our Secretary-General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, and to our loyal, sacrificing, and steadfast people.

– We pledge to them all and renew our commitment to continue along this path that we have taken to defend our people and our country, regardless of the sacrifices.

– We place our trust in Allah, in the strength of our fighters, and in the steadfastness of our dear people, who have not been shaken by all the challenges.

– Our people remain steadfast in the path of the Resistance and their commitment to its choice, holding firmly to their legitimate right to defend their land. The enemy has been unable to undermine their will, determination, and resolve to uphold their rights, freedom, and the Resistance.

– This is a people from whom all forces of evil, no matter how tyrannical, arrogant, and brutal they become, have been unable to wrest their will or sources of strength, foremost among them the Resistance.

– The Resistance is deeply rooted in the people, who are always prepared to confront any attempt to undermine it, because it is their spirit and a safeguard for their present and future in confronting occupation and “Israeli” ambitions.

– The experiences of the past are engraved in the people’s memory, as are those of the present. They have witnessed what the occupation has done to their land and villages and the destruction it has left behind in full view of the world, under an authority that has relinquished national sovereignty over its own land.

– The authority signed away the land and entrenched the occupation in the south. It also took unjust measures against the people, showing no regard for their sacrifices.

– To this day, the authority has offered nothing to heal the wounds. Instead, it seeks to deepen them through rhetoric that distorts the facts and incites against the blood of the martyrs.

– The choice of Resistance is a national necessity that cannot be abandoned.

– Through its performance, the Resistance has presented epic acts of heroism that prevented the enemy from occupying the south and offered the homeland the finest examples of defending its very existence.

– The enemy’s occupation of certain positions does not mean it can establish itself on our land. The role of the Resistance differs from that of regular armies, as it works to wear down the occupation until it is expelled.

– The occurrence of developments does not in any way mean accepting surrender and submission. The balance of power can change.

– This authority cannot prevent its people from exercising their human, moral, and legal right. Today, we call on it to put an end to the series of gratuitous concessions and violations of the Constitution and the National Pact, and to return to the embrace of its people.

– We call on the authority not to place its hopes in foreign powers.

– We call on all Lebanese to recognize the gravity of the stage the country is going through and to adopt the language of rapprochement and dialogue instead of incitement and hatred, which deepen division and distance among the components of society.

– We affirm our commitment to building a strong and just state based on national partnership, as stipulated in the National Accord Document, one that reassures all its citizens and supports the choice of liberation through all means.

– The state has not yet set this file on the path toward resolution, whether by seeking to secure funding or completing the mechanism for assessing damage and calculating compensation payments, while the proposed text remains in the government’s drawers.

– We in Hezbollah will continue to serve our people and make every possible effort to uphold their dignity and honor. No matter what we do, we remain inadequate in the face of a martyr’s mother who raises her son’s picture with pride in what he gave.
