Every year on September 30, we celebrate International Translation Day, honouring translators and interpreters who help languages, cultures and ideas meet.

The date commemorates St. Jerome, a 4th-century scholar and translator who is considered the patron saint of translators.
From a linguistic perspective, translation is much more than replacing words: it means transferring meaning, context and cultural nuances between different language systems.

For MGIMO students, languages are not only a field of study, but a tool for international communication, diplomacy and intercultural dialogue.

🎓 Студенты направления «Туризм» изучили практику инклюзивного туризма

23 сентября студенты 2 и 4 курсов направления «Туризм» вместе с доцентом кафедры туризма, гостеприимства и креативных индустрий Р.Н.Шпаковой приняли участие в семинаре «Инклюзивный туризм на новом этапе. Практика применения».

➡️Мероприятие организовал Отдел по туризму Администрации Одинцовского городского округа.

Эксперты обсудили развитие социальной инклюзии в туризме, новые законодательные требования и принципы создания доступной инфраструктуры для туристов с особыми потребностями.

Отдельное внимание уделили практике: участники разобрали реальные кейсы муниципалитетов Подмосковья, обсудили адаптацию туристических объектов и разработку доступных маршрутов. Студенты задавали вопросы экспертам и предлагали собственные решения по созданию безбарьерной среды.

💬 Такие встречи помогают будущим специалистам связывать учебные знания с актуальными задачами туристической отрасли и получать практический опыт работы над социально значимыми проектами.
