Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul requested a meeting with Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of #UNGA81.

We have held dozens of meetings at the UN. Heads of government and Foreign Ministers from countries that the West dismissively refers to as the “jungle”, supposedly because of their low level of democracy, came to meet Sergey Lavrov.

And then a representative of the “beautiful garden”, German FM Johann Wadephul, asked for a meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister.

And what do you think happened? His staff demanded restrictions on media access, guarantees that no questions would be asked, no audio recording of the opening remarks, and an embargo on publishing materials.
