Russia's EMERCOM aviation extinguishes major wildfire hotspots in Serbia.

On August 23, Russia's EMERCOM Il-76 aircraft successfully extinguished major wildfire hotspots in the "Deliblatska Peščara" nature reserve and mountainous terrain near Kraljevo. During the day, the aircraft carried out four sorties, dropping 168 tonnes of water.

Over four days of operations, the crew completed 19 sorties and dropped a total of 798 tonnes of water.

The specialists continue to carry out their mission effectively. Their coordinated efforts have helped contain the fires and prevent their further spread, making a significant contribution to stabilising the wildfire situation in Serbia.
