🕯 On this day 7️⃣ years ago - on August 6, 2014 - outstanding Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin was killed in the line of duty in Eastern Ukraine.

To this day Stenin's murderers remain at large, Ukrainian "investigators" are keeping mum on the matter.

Meanwhile the Investigative Committee of Russia shared latest details: those involved in the murder were wearing Ukrainian uniform and Kiev's National Guard hardware was identified, placed in the vicinity of the murder scene.

📸 Stenin's lifework continues in the form the annual Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest for young photojournalists aged between 18 and 33. Thousands of aspiring talents from all over the world take part in the competition. In 2021 alone around 4500 entries from 70 countries were submitted.
