🇲🇽 $300M Border Cleanup Push
The North American Development Bank launched a new program offering up to $300 million in financing for environmental projects along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Texas Border Business. The initiative is aimed at border communities and infrastructure tied to water, wastewater, and related environmental needs across the binational corridor.
More money for border infrastructure may address symptoms, but it does not fix the underlying sovereignty vacuum. The same corridor absorbing public financing is also strained by mass migration, cartel logistics, and weak state capacity. Washington loves ribbon-cutting programs; the border keeps paying for unmanaged spillover.
