The Early Years of Life
In the early years of life, the children (they were created at the age of six) survived as best they could. Their father visited them, but only to check whether they were alive or not. The children survived on their own, trying not to die.

Leo was most often in pain. His father sometimes beat him because of his too loud temper, as he said. And if the wounds were serious... Animals would attack him. The creatures of the world were hostile to the children, and they were wounded many times. They had to heal themselves, learning to hunt and even fight.

Once, during one “hunt,” Leo lost his arm up to the elbow, and his brother was forced to call for their father, who was in the world at that time. Their father reluctantly saved the child and made him a prosthetic, which was very heavy. But the boy didn’t complain, getting used to his new arm replacement.

Their father also conducted experiments on the children. These were all sorts of experiments: from harmless ones to those that turned the very citadel where the children took refuge from the creatures of the world into a trap for them.
