⚡️🇮🇷🇸🇦🇦🇪 — Iran and its proxies have carried out at least 135 drone and missile attacks on 84 infrastructure sites across the Gulf since February 28, systematically disabling critical equipment and causing cascading failures in a campaign that helps explain how Tehran has held its own against the U.S. military, according to a Reuters investigation.
➡️ The strikes targeted vital oil-routing systems at Fujairah in the UAE — the main port outside the Strait of Hormuz — hitting it at least 19 times and crippling operations for weeks. They also struck Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG facility, disabling two "cold boxes" that liquefy gas, and incinerated a pumping station and damaged two others along a key Saudi pipeline, cutting off another main bypass around Iran's blockade.
➡️ Airports were targeted across at least four countries, with one in Saudi Arabia struck four days in a single week. One of the world's largest aluminum smelters in Abu Dhabi was devastated in a single day. Some attacks were carried out by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen and Iraqi Shiite militias controlled from Tehran.
➡️ Former US Marine Corps special operations airstrike coordinator Ryan Stevens, who reviewed the findings, said Iran's strikes showed "precision, targeting expertise, and patience." The attacks have sent oil prices soaring and give Iran significant leverage in its peace negotiations with Washington. Gulf states are suppressing information about the toll, with several making it illegal to distribute photos or video of strike aftermath.
