⚡️🇸🇾🇸🇾 — Syrian General Intelligence has arrested Ali Kayali, also known as Mihrac Ural, the main suspect in the May 2013 Baniyas and al-Bayda killings, as he attempted to flee across the border, according to SANA.

The Turkish-born leader of the pro-Assad militia Syrian Resistance is accused of overseeing the killings on the Syrian coast, where at least 458 civilians, including about 92 children, were reported killed.

Türkiye has long sought him over the 2013 Reyhanlı bombings, which left about 52 people dead. The arrest follows the capture of his deputy, Jamal Traboulsi, earlier this month, as Syria's new authorities pursue former regime militia figures accused of war crimes.
