⚡️🇷🇺🇪🇺 — Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation on military security and arms control, stated that NATO is rehearsing scenarios in the Baltic for a blockade of Kaliningrad and the isolation of St. Petersburg. According to her, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski’s call for the alliance to intensify exercises near the Russian border demonstrates NATO’s drive toward escalation.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is tracking wild statements from the West regarding plans to blockade Kaliningrad and is reacting to them. Russian diplomats are reminding hotheads in Europe that a nuclear response to a blockade of Kaliningrad is set by regulatory documents, Peskov reported. — TASS

➡️ Separately, he stated that Russia has no political prisoners and has not discussed easing US sanctions in exchange for releasing a number of detainees, noting that Russian and US intelligence services maintain regular contacts regarding prisoner exchanges.
