The bill includes a PMF Service and Retirement Law and seeks to bring the Popular Mobilization Commission’s structure in line with other state security and military institutions, addressing gaps left by the PMF’s 2016 integration into the state over structure, institutionalization, retirement, benefits and compensation for families of fighters killed in battle, while placing its personnel on equal footing with other security institutions. — INA / The New Region
