🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 — The IDF and ISA said they had eliminated 16 key Hamas financial operatives during the war involved in transferring funds for the group’s military activities in the Gaza Strip, with transfers totaling more than $1 billion through a network of dozens of money changers in Türkiye and Gaza; those killed included Ibrahim Abu Shamala, identified as the financial officer of Hamas’ military wing, Mohammed Abu Alwan, killed last Wednesday and identified as responsible for the political wing’s funds, and fund-transfer network heads Khader Jamasi, Ihab Khraizem and Hussein Qadra, who managed the offsetting, receipt and transfer of funds on Hamas’ behalf — IDF Spokesperson.

➡️ The IDF and ISA said the funds finance Hamas operatives, weapons capabilities, infrastructure restoration and attacks against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, and that their current efforts focus on degrading the group’s financing capabilities, preventing the restoration of its infrastructure and military capabilities, and dismantling the money-changer network that transfers hundreds of millions of dollars to its military wing. The agencies said these operations had significantly affected Hamas’ military activities during the conflict and warned that additional operatives in Gaza continued to engage in financing and fund transfers for what they described as Hamas “terror activities”; they added that they would continue striking those directly involved in the group’s financing mechanisms, which they described as lawful targets.
