⚡️🇾🇪🇾🇪 — Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad al-Alimi said the country’s prolonged economic and humanitarian deterioration, including unpaid salaries, collapsing services, displacement and deaths, resulted from what he described as the Houthi “coup project” rather than the blockade cited by the movement. He said the state had kept the door to peace open and, with Saudi support, maintained supplies of goods, medicines and fuel and operated Sanaa airport, while Houthi attacks on shipping and waterways later damaged its infrastructure and Yemenia Airways’ assets. Al-Alimi described continued Houthi attacks and violations as a dangerous escalation, warned that the movement was seeking to turn Yemeni territory and coastlines into a persistent regional threat, and said concessions had enabled it to regroup for renewed escalation.

➡️ He called for national mobilization in support of the armed forces and security services and reaffirmed the objective of restoring state institutions and extending state sovereignty across the country to Sanaa, regardless of temporary battlefield losses or shifts in the front lines. He said civilians in Houthi-controlled areas remained part of the state, not a party to the conflict, and reiterated their right to peace and full citizenship, while backing continued support for displaced people and praising tribes aligned with state institutions and security forces.

➡️ Al-Alimi reaffirmed commitment to the Saudi-sponsored southern dialogue and said it should produce a fair and comprehensive settlement of the southern issue. He also announced a future comprehensive amnesty for those who, from the eve of September 26, abandon the Houthis and cease fighting or working for them, subject to constitutional and legal procedures. He called on Saudi Arabia, coalition states and other governments supporting security in Yemen, the Red Sea and the wider region to back the Yemeni government and armed forces, arguing that restoration of state institutions was a regional and international interest.
