⚡️🇮🇷🇵🇰 — During their earlier meeting on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the implementation of previous bilateral agreements and understandings and key regional developments, stressing the need for continued follow-up and effective implementation of existing commitments.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s “serious determination” to deepen and expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Pakistan, citing the two countries’ historical, cultural and religious ties.

➡️ According to Pezeshkian’s office, the two leaders also discussed “the progress of the talks and mediation efforts to reach a settlement” with the United States, while Pezeshkian stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.
